Need SPS HELP ASAP!!!

Ok... I'm stumped. I have for the last month or so been fighting RTN from one frag to the next. Rarely more than one at a time.... It just seems to go from one to the next no reason or pattern. One day i can look at a coral and say thank god that ones doing well then BAM i wake up in the morning and it has started.

At first i thought it was alk swings from the new calcium reactor cause i had tests all over the place so i went and go another salifert and new reagent for the the Hanna tester and new reagent for the the red sea kit i have and they are all stable at 8.0.

Then i thought nutrients maybe way too low and started over feeding the tank. Some actually made a great progress. Some not so much and some that made progress have in turned RTN'd on me overnight.

I'm just stumped. I will add that its always from the base up and that if i Frag them they normally have done better.... I HAVE NO CLUE

Your going to need to give a complete run down if you want help. Complete tank run down including current parameters and daily feeding routine

Tank parameters for sure. Dosing regimens, temps, feeding, lighting.

Also are the frags wild caught or aquacultured?

Parameters are obviously needed, but do you dip? Have you seen or looked for pests?

I think the solution was to raise my nutrients.... I've been feed more and things are doing great again

glad to hear. Mine is doing the same thing now. I started to get some RTN and after I started feeding more, things are starting to turn around. phew.

Fish poop is usually best. Adding food directly for corals is easy to overdo and hard to know if you're doing right.

It's tru sps Like detritus best but in its slime form. I'll give em some from this rock that's bowled and I'm trying 2 rainbow monti it so it'll b all like a crater

a little oyster feast.... Kz coral vitalizer, kz amino acid and Kz extra special. All rotated through out the week never all in the same three day period. Pretty much adopted my old zeovit dosing schedule but took the ulns out of the equation.... I also no longer run a biopellet reactor and started a fuge. My skimmer is big enough to handle the tank on its own. Nitrates tested yesterday at 1 ppm and po4 was at .01
