hi all what would you recomend for a internal sump pump to handle a 65g planned for reef tank ?
need suggestion for sump pump

Quiet one... at least a 10-15x turn over.. GPH through sump.

Eheim 1260 or 1262
The Eheim pumps are top quaility and run quiet. They are a bit more expensive but a quality pump IMO. I have ran the 1260 and 1262 , I can recommend both, depending on where you want to be from a flow standpoint in the 65. I recommend a return pump that actually has the same or a little less flow than that of the protein skimmer, slowing the flow down a bit in the sump does not hurt. If you want the additional flow in the tank then add powerheads. Some recommend 10X turnover in the tank. I like to be at about a 7x the system water volume turnover and close to 20-25x or more flow in the tank. With a 65 gal that would put a return pump at around 455gph or so with head pressure and pwerheads with a flow around 1300-1625gph.
