I have a 75gal mixed reef, currently using a rio 2100 or 2500 as a return pump. Im looking for suggestions for a lower priced dc return pump. I have a neptune controller so i would want to eventually incorporate that into it. I have looked at the jabao pumps but im worried about the reliability of it.

Jebao DCA series. They are excellent pumps with 0-10v control via apex. Really reliable; and 1/3 the price of "fancy" brands.

Simplicity pumps are great as well.
Thx, these are the type of recommendations i am looking for. I found a simplicity website and they appear to be jebao pumps.

I cant find dca pumps, amazon has dcq, dcs, dc, dcp, dcw, any other locations to purchase jebao pumps?

Does anyome know the evolution of these pumps? Im assuming the dca is the most recent?

I have a DCP running for 8 months with no problems. I have only cleaned it twice and it wasn't at all clogged up.

I wish I could say I’ve cleaned my jebao but I can’t remember the last time I did (if at all). Google “difference between jebao return pump models” or something similar and you will find the answer you are looking for. I bought a jct 4000 on 7/8/17 and it runs as silent as any other high end return pump out there. I don’t understand why people spend $300+ on these “high end return pump” just for them to crap out on them within a year. As long as it is reliable and pumps water who cares the brand. Save a few $$$ where you can in this expensive hobby

I spent just shy of $70 2 years ago. If it broke tomorrow I would just buy another $70 pump and still have spent less than half of what these high end pumps cost

I have had a jebao for over 2 years, bought a new one last year to replace the current one I’m using when it eventually craps out. Still waiting for that to happen. I’m going on vacation though so it might be time!

It’s also worth noting that the expensive $350-450 return pumps from Ecotech or Neptune systems have a 1 year warranty. Ridiculous, lol. Better off going with jebao IMO

At $350 you can buy 4-5 jebao. It’s worth noting that ecotech and neptune pumps don’t have the best track record. I’ve seen plenty of threads on them breaking
