Need this answered asap can torch touch goniapora?

I have a golden torch and a green goniopora. Both were a significant distanced away when I epoxied them to the rock, however my torch has doubled in size overnight and they are about a cm away from touching. Can these 2 touch eachother? I need to know as soon as possible I have tried finding stuff online with no success. Thank you!

Ended up moving it and everything is back to normal

I know this is really old thread but wanted to know what happens if the torch stings the gona? Is there a way to save it or is it a dead coral?
