Tank is a little over a month old, wondering if this is new tank Algae or something a bit more sinister.

Its a new tank. There is nothing to worry about. Manual removal is all you can do, which I would suggest doing prior to water changes.
 
Looks like just part of the cycle to me. As the tank finishes cycle and stabilizes it should receed. If levels are good might try adding a small CUC

I have a stocking of cleanup crew and a few fish in the tank already.

First sign of algae is actually exciting for a new tank. It means progress!
