Hey guys in preparation to the 300 getting here I am trying to figure out how it is I am going to mix up 300 gallons of salt water...... Does anyone have a storage container that can hold large amounts of water? around 100 gallons or so

I don't want to spend 800.00 for a 300 gallon storage tank to use it only one time.

Do like I did bro. Mix your water in your tank! :)

Tractor supply has BIG water storage and cattle watering items for CHEAP!

See that's the issue new tank is going where the old tank is currently it will take 5 days for my RO system to make that much water and I give 48 hours on FSW prior to livestock. That's 7 days and I don't want to keep all of my stuff on buckets or totes for that long. Pretty sure it would all be dead.

check craigslist they usually have 275 gallon water containers on there for a $100 or so

I have called on them and they once were used to ship leather tanning oils. This is not good for the quality of water as I am afraid of the leaching that would occur.

I heard someone at Trade Days at Tannehill State Park sells plastic 55 gal drums with removable sealing lids for cheap. If you decide to go that route you could keep a couple for storing RO and mixing salt and sell the others to someone that is still using a trash can. There is an egg crate shaped platform that goes under the drums and it will hold all the water if they ever leak, great for accident prone people like myself. Good luck!

Lowes had a 50 gallon Rubbermaid storage container for about $20.00 not too long ago. Aren't you using some of the water from your current tank?

I've got 10 or 12 plastic tubs (rubbermaid type) that are 12 or 18 gallons. You're welcome to borrow them if that will help.
