So I need to catch my picture wrasse because it is picking at my torch coral.... Has always left everything else alone but loves to pick at the torch but I can't catch it I've tried food in a net and lights out. My question is can I take all of my rocks out of the tank with corals glued to them without super stressing the corals out and dying?? Also was worried about them releasing toxins into the tank when put back in?

I have a fish trap, but usually hard to catch smaller fish. Could drain the water to a point to be easier to catch. Is the torch coral doing bad from the fish nipping at it?

Another R2R member posted an interesting method a few weeks ago. He said to turn out the lights for a couple of hours at night in a dark room. Then using a small flashlight find the fish. Apparently the fish will be mesmerized by the light and you can easily net them. Haven't tried it yet. Hope this helps.

The torch is still happy but is missing 2 tips on its tentacles and when I turn the lights off it buries itself under the sand. Taking the rocks out isn't hard to do as it is on a 40 gallon tank I just didn't know if the corals would be impacted by doing that. I would put them in buckets if water if course
