Need to catch blenny in a tiny cube filled with rock. Help :)

I need to catch tailspot blenny and transfer it to DT. Little fella is smarter than I thought and my sneaky plan is tricky to execute:

Harpoon is out of question, it is too small to aim and I need him alive

Can't chase him there, rock is everywhere.

I chased my bicolor into a hole, plugged it with my finger then took the rock out. Might not be an option depending on your rock work but. . .

Nope. It is one huge piece of rock

Little plunker hides in the rock and swims away through the holes on the other side. Is trolling me checking if I move the net. I am like gone fishing last 4 hours trying all the tricks hahahaha

Good idea, but this is tiny Pico cube. This sorcery is too large to fit

PS. I think they are trying to talk the hermits to join their gang!

Anyone have a calculator to share? I have a plan, just need to ensure it will float and survive

Lol yeah clowns are nuts! I always chase mine into a corner and when it swims upwards follow under and to the side until it runs out of water and scoop from there!

Do those really work ?? I’ve always had luck using a net in one hand and a plastic stick in the other with a lot of patience.

7 hours later, the little troll is still on loose.

This devil was able to run away when three people were trying to chase him down at the same time. I tried traps, baits. They teamed with clown, clown is checking if all good, looking at me and giving signals to blenny when I move my hand towards the net...

I tried sticks, large tweezers, hand to chase it to the net - no luck.

The minute I took a net from the tank it ate the bait...

What a... blenny...

The rock is too big in the tank to give me any reasonable option for chasing it around.

do you really need to move the blenny? Also try getting a barnacle and putting it in there. Got mine off amazon. They hide in there when they see your hand and you could just slip the net over the whole barnacle and pull it out

heh, I was even thinking about building fake cave or sth for him.

The reason I want to move him is that it would be more helpful in my large tank and I want to re-do the cube for anemone. I will give it a try one more time tomorrow. If I fail again, blenny wins and stays in the cube.

Thats how I move Mo my midas blenny when I needed to in a rock slide caused my Miss Squirt my engineer goby!

How big is the rock, I know you said it is too big to take out. . . but I have removed my entire scape to remove things before. . .

No chance to take it out. Here is the photo from day 0, now it is all overgrown with corals and other criters:
