Need to clean QT tank before adding new fish?

If you use copper in your QT, do you need to remove replace bio filter media and clean tank/equipment before introducing new fish? I would think not, since the copper supposedly killed all the bad stuff, right?

I would every other time you add the medication. Just clean it. It'll accumulate up over time if you don't clean it out.
