Need to replace my bulbs. Really like the 14k Phoenix but can't find anyone that carries them anymore. Figured I'd reach out to my fam here and see if anyone has a line on them or an alternative bulb that looks as blue as the Phoenix 14k... this is for mogul base by the way. Thanks guys

Champion yes. They're usually my go to for bulbs. I haven't checked reef brite though. Great idea. I'll let you know.
Thanks

Fishguy242 I can't find anything on reefbrites webpage that shows bulbs for sale or were you referring to to just the reef brite brand bulb equivalent to a Phoenix 14k?

dang I didn't know that. Radium doesn't make a 175 watt unfortunately so even further limited on choice i guess. Do you know of a bulb that is currently still being produced that's equivalent in spectrum and color rendition or the 175 watt Phoenix 14k? It's a nice crisp white but obviously on the blue side much more blue then a Hamilton 20k even. I'm looking for something that still has good par but is blue. I wish a radium like the 250 on an m80 ballast type bulb existed in a 175 watt mogule.

Did you reach out to the manufacturer? Sometimes when a mfr discontinues a model they may still have a small stock somewhere. Good luck.

Hamilton 14k

That's a possiblity I'll look into. I've tried lots of other bulbs but those were just my absolute favorite for par and spectrum. I would hate to give them up.

Hamilton 14k really? The 20k Hamilton isn't even close to being as blue as a 14k Phoenix. Is the Hamilton 14k more blue then their 20k?

Thanks for your help and input guys

If your married to the Phoenix 14k maybe it’s worth moving to double ended? Ample supply and they are cheap enough that stocking up if they ever go out of production won’t be too painful.

I'm not opposed to changing bulbs. I would rather that then switch out the socket setup. If I were going to do anything I would upgrade to an m80 ballast and run 250 watt radiums. 175 watt is starting to look like it'll be harder and harder to source bulbs everytime I need to change them throughout the future.

Do you know anything close in spectrum to 14k Phoenix on mogul?
