I have an AquaFX Mako 300 gpd system right now. I'm on a well with only 40 psi, so I use a booster pump that gets me up to about 80 psi. The thing is, I'm filling two 300g storage tanks at a time. So it takes me two and a half days to fill both containers. That's a lot of time running that pump. I'd really like to be able to get more like 600-1000 gpd. I looked at the AquaFX Blue Marlin, which claims to produce up to 1000 gpd, but the price on that thing with all the add-ons is just cost prohibitive.
The Mako that I have has three membrane housings on top. I'm assuming that means each one is a 100 gpd membrane. They are run in parallel... Would it help speed up production if I replaced these with 300 gpd membranes and ran them in series? Any other ideas to improve the production rate would be appreciated.
