I have an AquaFX Mako 300 gpd system right now. I'm on a well with only 40 psi, so I use a booster pump that gets me up to about 80 psi. The thing is, I'm filling two 300g storage tanks at a time. So it takes me two and a half days to fill both containers. That's a lot of time running that pump. I'd really like to be able to get more like 600-1000 gpd. I looked at the AquaFX Blue Marlin, which claims to produce up to 1000 gpd, but the price on that thing with all the add-ons is just cost prohibitive.

The Mako that I have has three membrane housings on top. I'm assuming that means each one is a 100 gpd membrane. They are run in parallel... Would it help speed up production if I replaced these with 300 gpd membranes and ran them in series? Any other ideas to improve the production rate would be appreciated.

That's a lot of water and well above what most of us produce. Maybe a a second unit of what you already have. That would double it. Interesting your membranes are in parallel. When adding a second membrane, the common way is to feed it from the waste of the first, basically processing the water twice to get more output. You're venturing into an area most of us aren't very familiar with. 75/150 gpd is the norm. 1000 gpd sounds like a commercial application may be the answer.

Needing/wanting that much production in that amount of time I’d reach out to SpectraPure, or BuckEyeHydro, and get their opinion on if it’s possible to upgrade the system you have or what systems they offer with that level of performance.

Thanks, guys. Yes, it's definitely a lot of water! I'll reach out to SpectraPure and BuckEye - thanks for the suggestion. :)
