Need to lower salinity from 1.027 to 1.025

What is the max amount I can change out system water with RODI water to safely lower my salinity from 1.027 to 1.025. My system is 850 total gallons. Randy had answered this for me about 6 months ago, but I can't seem to locate his answer. Thanks for your help in advance.

You'll need to replace about 8% of the water volume with RO/DI. Replacing 2% daily (1% am and 1% pm) seems like a reasonable plan.

Randy I have the Kore 5th Doser which has an AWC system and program built in it. It's programmed to do 24 cycles a day (once per hour )
so I set it up to do a 1% (a little conservative) per day RODI auto change. Here are the settings in liters.

For the record, most things in a reef tank, corals included, will handle a relatively fast drop in salinity just fine. It’s raising salinity you have to be super careful about.

Gotta love the Kore 5th Doser. First hour it did an auto change of 1.32 ml, program was set at 1.34. It will auto change RODI water once per hour.

25/27 = 0.9259

So you need to keep 92.59% of the existing salt water, and remove the remainder and replace it with fresh.
