well I had my blue squmosa in my sand bed while I was getting him used to may tank, but the darn thing moved to a piece of rock and stuck to it.. Now thats not the big issue, but I had one polyp of my magican zoas float over and stick right next to the clam, a few weeks later and now the one polyp of zoas have turned into 10+ more zoas (they grow sooo fast for me) and are covering my clammy. The zoas do not seem to be hurting the clammy but they are starting to block a lot of light and are keeping mr clam from openeing up all the way..

Now I have seem people use a sharp knife to cut the (cant spell) bysell threads that the clams uses to hold it to the rock. If this clam didnt cost me lotas of clams (moneys) id just go try this and see what happenes, but I would hate to kill the clam by cutting its foot or somthing.

Please help me get my clam off the rock and away from my zoas...

I'd just go at it carefully with a sharp knife. I've moved lots of clams this way and haven't ever had an issue.

Well thanks for the tips. IDK about the power head, I get it will maybe make the clam move away, but id hate to blow all my sand away and maybe make the clam moce deeper into the hole it is near. I would be screwed if it went into the cave and I could not cut it off either..

I guess I will take a knife to it and see what happens.. So I hear the foot retracts as soon as you touch the clam?? man I hope its smart enough to move its foot for me.. lol... Last time I had a sharp knife in my hand I wound up with a hobby knife stuck all the way into my thumb. I never cut my self so good before, it went just about all the way through my thumb and about 2inches long.. I still cant feel my thumb to this day.. lol..
