I have had to make some difficult decisions lately....
After 17 straight years of keeping a mixed reef tank I will need to take a break. It is not that I have lost any interest or intrigue; Its just because I am busier now than ever with my career. I would like to sell my entire system to someone who can come and take it. It is a fabulous 3-year-old functioning system and Aaron at SPS coral store has helped me to build and maintain it.
I spared no expense when setting up this current system!
-The Tank: LeeMar 42x24x20 (L x W x H) 3 sided starfire glass (1/2 inch thick) with euro bracing. 2 returns at the sides of the tank and overflow in the back. Aaron created a system in the overflow to make it silent and in the case of a pump failure will not flood. Plus as added safety there is a 1 inch Spears check valve in line with the return pump.
-The stand: is the LeeMar Polaris, dark brown and custom height of 33 inches.
-Lights: 2 x AI Vegas (white housing) mounted on a custom mount built by Aaron. Wireless Remote
-Movement: provided by 2 Ecotech MP40’s. PLUS I have 2 Ecotech Back up Batteries mounted to the stand.
-Sump: is a custom sized Trigger System Ruby S Refugium/sump 32.5 x 14 x 15.
-Sump Lighting is a Kessel 250
-Return Pump is a Reef Octopus Diablo DC pump 5500
-ATO is a Tunze Osmolater in a 5gallon custom made reef synergy reservoir
-Skimmer: Bubble Magus Pro 150
- Dosing Pump: Bubble Magus (plus 3 x1.5 L canisters)
-Phosphate reactor -2 Little Fishies
-Aquascaping with Tonga branching rock done by Aaron
My biggest concern is for the welfare of my 4 fish (pair of Clowns, Cardinal and YW Goby/pistol shrimp...) Aaron at SPS Coral Store has offered to give them a home in 1 of his displays. However I would be willing to part with them and a few nice coral pieces (Blasto, Zoas, Frogspawn, hammers, Favia) as part of the deal. BUT only to an experienced reefer who can give them a great home. All the fish have been quarantined by Aaron and have been alive for 2+ years. I just don't want them to be victims of my taking down my tank as they are healthy and thriving.
I am selling this entire, functioning system for $2750. You need to come take it down and take it away (while I cry). This is a dream system…… Lets Talk.. I live in Los Angeles
