Need yall opinion...

So they go to the trouble of having it resealed then put it in the garage! sorry without more information I wouldn't buy that tank, seems a little unplanned to me, so I wouldn't trust their judgment on who they got to seal the tank either.

I bought a 240 gal for $180 used. Built the stand put the tank on and filled it with water as a test. Day 2 with water we heard a big crack! The bottom cracked. Luckily I got it drained before it started leaking badly in the living room. Bought a new 180 gal after that. I've bought used tanks in the past but much smaller. I feel if your going over 100 gal it's worth it to buy a new tank considering the price of what your going to put in it. I got my 180 gal for $500 new.

Agree with this. I was going to buy a used 90 and ended up just paying more for new. The extra cash is worth the peace of mind.

Okay, thank you, that’s helpful, oh wait what if they don’t know what was used.
If it was professionally done then they should tell you who did the re-seal. If they did the reseal themselves and can't answer I would be concerned.

Where did you get yours? It looks like everyone is sold out.

Someone’s selling a 150GALLON tank that was resealed last summer for $200. It comes the stand 3 canister filters and and bunch of other stuff. I’m interested but nervous about the tank being resealed last summer. It’s in their garage and they probably won’t fill it so I can see if it holds water. Should I buy and just deal with what comes with it or what y’all think? Want all opinions! Thanks
Don't be afraid to ask The seller questions or even provide you with additional pictures of the stand and aquarium. if the tank leaked in their possession the stand should show this especially the bottom legs/floor level. You are not obligated to buy.
Go and check it out, if you are not happy with the aquarium/resealing , think of it as buying a stand for £200 plus extras, I'm sure a stand to cover that size and weight is worth the buy, then just add new aquarium. Saves half the cost

Good points but keep in mind a custom tank probably has a custom stand so if the tank is no good you’ll need to find a tank with the same dimensions, especially if the stand has a lip around the edges.

Go, look and if you want it buy, just the equipment and stand is worth the money unless there's noticable damage. The tank it's self may be worth it. But only if it doesn't leak.

IDK I would be skeptical of this, but like said there are good deals out there. I one gave away a 240 gal with 2 moth old MH lighting years ago as we moved and the buyer I had backer out last min. sooooo there are good deals out there for sure.

if your not gonna upgrade for 6-8 months you have time to look. that said I would go take a look and see the stuff I bet it's in pretty bad shape could be wrong. tho I would get alot of pics even before going. and remember you can walk away.

also think about what you want from your long term tank. it might be worth it just getting a nice new PnP system from red sea, water box fiji cube or the like. will it be more $$ hell yes but it just might be a better long term investment. moving fish and coral can be stressful. + having a ugly tank in the house just might make the other half dislike the hobble and be less supportive.

my 2 cents for what ever there worth...
good luck let us know and post some pics
