Need your guys thoughts on buying this t5 setup

Okay thank you, I have a 24 inch depth tank and currently run two ai prime hd and one kessil a360x tuna blue there just not enough for the bottom of tank

I'm not sure what kind of coral you have but for a mixed reef, I shoot for 100-150 PAR on the sand bed. For the amount of money everyone spends on their tank, I think it's 100% worh the 60 bucks to rent the PAR meter once to set up your lights properly

What are the dimensions of your tank? I have a 6 bulb 36” Sunpower over a 36 x 18x20 tank. I mount my fixture 10” from the waterline. The six bulb fixtures have 2 channels, one channel turns on 2 bulbs slot 2 and 4) and the other channel turns on the oypther 4 bulbs. I currently run an 11 hour light cycle with the 2 bulb channel running for the full 11 hours and the other 4 running for 9 hours.
It’s a 55 long so I believe it’s 48 inches long and 24 tall the width isn’t much

Yeah got a good point lol

I currently run an 11 hour light cycle with the 2 bulb channel running for the full 11 hours and the other 4 running for 9 hours. So in the morning, the 2 bulb channel turns on. An hour later, the 4 bulb channel turns on, so all 6 bulbs are now on. In the evening, nine hours later, the 4 vpbulb channel turns off. An hour later, the 2 bulb channel goes off completing the 11 hour light cycle.
Do you have them on a timer or like controller?

I use my Apex, but any simple outlet timer will work just as well. Remeber, the third channel is for the fans. I have my fans turn on once the lights go on, I turn them off 5 minutes after the lights are off to make sure the bulbs and ballasts are properly cooled down.

Okay sounds good thank you

This fixture will essentially last forever and is easily repairable if need be. ATI North America has a YouTube channel that shows you how to replace fans and actually walks you though ballast replacement specific to the T5 Powermodule fixtures as well.

Okay awesome I will check it out

The ballasts? Not really... If the ballasts in your fixture work though, then there really isn’t a need to replace them IMO. Just replace the broken fan and you should be good to go!

Awesome thank you just picked it up and you weren’t kidding this thing is heavy! Lol everything seems to work great!

Congrats on the score! It’s a shame that those fixtures are no longer sold in the states anymore. The only way to get one of those fixtures new in the US is to order it direct fromGermany. With that fixture, you will be able to grow anything you want.

I’m so stoked! Lol that is a shame! I’ve been wanting to get into sps but now it might be possible

Great deal! Those are built heavy like a tank and like Water Dog wrote, will basically last forever. They're one of the best T5 fixtures out there.

Nice to hear that!

Please post some pics when you get it set up! :)
Just realized on the light that the power adapter is not there so that’s only $14.99 gonna buy that and maybe all the fans will work!
