Hello guys,

I'm thinking about upgrading to a larger tank but I'm not very familiar with the tanks brands around. Maybe you could help me to understand good/bad, expensive/cheap etc. options. Like I understand I
ve three ways:

1. A tank from a pet store like Petco.
2. Reef ready like Red Sea Reefer.
3. And something custom like Reef Savvy.

But how much I can save if I go 1. way or what I'm going to get as benefit if I go way 2. and 3. and what are the brands that I can check if I want to go with the option number 1 etc.

Also top sump brands will be very helpful.

Could you please help me to understand this situation a little bit better?
Thank you! :)

Truvu and Red Sea are my favorites, eshoppes makes a good sump.

Red Sea = glass
Truvu = acrylic

How big of an upgrade are we talking? I personally only trust the big box stores for 75g and under. Any tank I ever buy thatll be over 100g will be from a better manufacturer like Deep Blue or custom made.

Something like 75g. no more.

And I can drill the tank I think, I mean I'm not afraid of DIY things, it's even more fun if it's not a huge step down in quality sure.

I had a very nice Planet Aquarium 75g rimless. It had an external overflow which opened up additional space in the tank.

So this is are the recommendations at this moment.

Level 1:

Planet Aquarium
CustomAquariums.com
Deep Sea Aquatics

Level 2:

Deep Blue
Reef Savvy

Like this right? :)

Is it CRYSTALINE TANK SERIES that we're talking about?

I was just on there site looking at those. They look really nice but im in the process right now trying to get a price quote they don't sell directly off the site it looks like

If you've time guys please comment, just a quick message about the tank brand and sump brand will really help. :) Thank you.

Yes I can't see where we can buy their products as well.

I sent them a email to get a quote and they sent me a automated message saying they have a lot of people inquiring about their tanks and they will let me know.

I am new to this app, can some one explain to me how to make a new topic?
