Need your help

You say they're the same so why does my reference books: say something different candycane's Called Caulastrea Furcata ,And a trumpet coral is Called Caulastrea curvata

Candy cane and trumpet are common names that can be given to any coral. Many corals have multiple common names.

Even corals with different scientific names can have only small differences.
 
I understand what you're saying and it makes sense I just can't Understand why they Categorize as two different things in the books wouldn't that mean It must look slightly different

It's sort of like other animals. Like all tigers are cats but not all cats are tigers. Some names are more specific than others. So slightly different scientific names could still mean a very similar coral, maybe even indistinguishable to anyone except a scientist.
