Needing a new return pump need help

Ok, so my apex has been setting up a few low voltage alarms on my return pump. Coupled with a sudden increase in my sump water level has me itching to get a new return. Right now I have a sicce syncra silent 5.0 for my 120g reef and it has been running reliably for two years now. I am looking to go for something a bit quieter....say a d/c pump. I am looking at going to the vectra s1 or the apex cor 20. They are about the same in price but the apex can give me feedback since it is intertwined with my apex. The only draw back I have right now is that apex seems to have a few glitches and failures on their other products. For example I had 2 PMUP's running in my sump for added circulation..fast forward 6 months and now neither of them work. Apex has been kind and is requesting the serial numbers and date of purchase I assume to replace them. Anyone have any thoughts on what I should go with? Silence and reliability are my two main goals.

I voted vectra s1 as this is the pump I plan to use if my current pump ever fails. While I've never personally used it I've heard nothing but good things and have high hopes for it.

I have a Varios 2 and Varios 8, both running in my tank. The Varios 2 ran full power for 14 months as the return pump without any issues. I just got the Varios 8 to replace the 2 and now use the 2 to run a UV. Both are silent and run flawlessly. The built in controlller has worked well for me, but I just bought the control cable and will soon be using the Apex to dial in the flow.
