Needing identification please

I’m trying to figure out what this yellow stuff is. I’ve never seen this before.

There’s ones that coat like this!! I never knew. Is this a good thing?

I have several yellow sponges in darker areas and haven't noticed any problems with toxin release. That said they are filter feeders and certainly add to necessary diversity.
A good thing imho.

Years ago I had a LOT of yellow sponges in the low-light areas of my tank and they were great. They are filter feeders and never caused any problems.
