I am looking for advice/guidance
Just incase it is needed tank info is ;
75 gal
20 gal sump
Still measuring .25
2 clown fish
1 blenny

So here is where I need the advice/ guidance.

I have started bringing in my clean up crew. Current lay have 3 turbo snails( not a big fan of snails) and 7 blue leg hermit crabs.
They are eating the alge that is there but not really able to keep up with the growth.

What is a good number to have for this size tank, I was thinking of getting a shrimp to add to the crew.
But i don't want to do it to fast so that they starve and die, i dont want to add things that will take me away from my goal of a reef tank with a few fish.

" Still measuring .25 " What does this mean? Ammonia? Nitrite?

I would hold off on the CUC right now. Not because you shouldn't be adding any more inverts, but because you have larger issues and you don't need to get side tracked- If you have a relatively new tank and 3 turbo snails can't keep up with the HA associated with 3 fish in a 75, I think you need to take a look at your nutrients. What is your nitrate level at?

I normally follow the recommended guide on reefcleaners.org (link below). John is awesome and can work with you if you have specific tank requirements.

Sorry for the lack of info
Ph 7.8
Amonia 0
Nirrite 0
Nitrate 1
I feed i cube of frozen marine cuisine (music shrimp, krill, spirulina) every evening..
Lights on about 6 hours per day in the evening

Unfortunately, with enough hair algae, your nitrate may be erroneous. How much hair algae are we talking about here? Do you have a picture of your tank or could you find one that looks similar? I just want to make sure the advice is tailored to your problem and isn't too much of a generalization.

I have these all over the tank, they weren't really showing up when I took pictures so I had to focus in on one to get it to show up in the Pic.
