Needs some advice

I have a 36 gallon curves tank and I have 4 fish clowns puffer and a goby and a few corals like favias monti palys and a Duncan that all look really healthy but I feel I can do way better for them when it comes to filtration and lighting I have a marine penguin hangover back filter and two 30 dollar lights from amazon that said we’re good for coral my filter does have the appropriate filter media I did some research when I started and learned those regular filter cartridges just don’t cut it so if anyone has any suggestions on reasonable equipment because I would like to give my fish a little better things

If everything is working and your fish are healthy and corals growing, then your equipment is doing a good job with what you have now. Don't discount those less expensive lights...they may not have a ton of features, but if the spectrum is working for growing corals, then there's nothing wrong with going that route. Now if nutrients start getting out of control, etc... then maybe consider adding a sump under your stand. At that point, maybe look at a skimmer, etc... If you start having problems with coral growth, then maybe look at lighting options.

This. Also adding live rocks will provide excellent bio filtration.
