Negative experience with Aquatic Bobs

Ordered corals package over $1518.00 arrived today all dead and some melt in the bag before make it in the tank.

Brutal. Sorry to hear this. Where was the purchase from if I may ask? Have you contacted them about their DOA policy? Certainly something can be done about this I hope. Good luck!
 
He did and asked me to ship even after I cautioned him about a snow storm. He accepted the risk and unfortunately the package got delayed. The next day it.got delieverd and he wasn't home to recieve it either :-/ really a sad situation. I offered him replacement coral as a courtesy to go above and beyond but the buyer continues to try to file disputes for a refund. He has broken a few of my policies and refuses to accept his responsibility.

Before shipping. I ask to ship out on Tuesday because Wednesday is my whole day off work and i can receive the package. I work all week long except Wednesday is my only day off and no work.

Seller/Merchandise. Said there some snow but you never mention snow storm like you just said in the post above (SOME SNOW vs SNOW STORM) there is a huge different here to making decision on shipping live stocks and i do not live in your state to know and understand or can make decisions with it. Even in my state is sunny all daytime every packages got delivered on time. You are seller and you live in your state you should have know the weather better than me to make desicion for shipping not to blame on me asking to ship out and trap me to get into your own policy automatic void.

Payment Methods. I'm not sure is seller know this or do not know but did asked me to pay with paypal friends and family, Zelle or venmo doesn't cost fee. But this sound against forum rule so seller want me to pay half paypal fees if i pay paypal good/service which is i did.

DOA (Policy). When i purchased your corals there is no where to see your shipping policy and after i reported to you currently condition and you have your policy edited in the original post above this is not right when things are happened and you post your own made up policy after the fact already happened. The time line edited can tell when you made up your own policy add in after your original posted sell here and want stay out of this. (This is Red Flag)

The day of shipping delivery. I did have messages you If the package cannot come today (which is Wednesday) please ship another date later because i won't be home to receiving live stock corals until Wednesday next week. During this time of conversations the package is still stay in your State (Minnesota) not even move to Wisconsin yet and you still have time to retrieve the package back. But you are not do that and let the package there waiting to ship out the next day and keep going. Also i did asked you have them give back to you at the very least the corals still in warm area not stay cold outside and die. And you message me said they'll be all right if i can receive them tomorrow.

After shipping delay. I have message you really worries about the corals condditions and i know I won't be home until late. Only thing i can think of is to have my neighbor pickup the package and keep it in the house until i can get home around 7-8 pm. I'm very worry the corals won't make it by the time i get home they been too long in the bag and cold.

Why i have my neighbor to pickup the package. First thing in my mind is corals already got delay in shipping with cold weather and you refused to retrieve the package while it is still in your state (Minnesota) and let it waiting to ship out the next day. I dont see any wrong in this decision here to have someone neighbor trying to help and save the coral package safe and not get lost or stolen also to have corals stay in warm location and I know that i won't be able to be home at that time, i have talked with you about that before to have my neighbor pickup the package and keep it in the house until i can get home around 7-8 pm. But i end up did took 1 hour off work and came home within an hour received the box delivered. I have my neighbor pickup the package and keep inside the house for warmer since it just delivered. But corals seem to have realy damage flesh inside the bag and temperature is too cold in the water really in bad condition. I did took pictures, open the bag very carefully and go through temperature acclimation about 15 minute to ensure water in right temperature and drips acclimation for 30 minutes after i done all that i message you right around 2:03 pm if you look at that time frame i was there took off work trying to save the corals within 2 hours window delivered.

Your Offer. You said will offer me some coral for replacement but i dont see anythings up and not sure the corals you offer will have the same kind or something that i really dont need in my tank.

I said my 2 cents. You can pick and choose what you want. I offered replacements to the best of my ability. @revhtree or someone can you please help with this? I don't have the time or the energy to openly debate someone that's piling up mis information and only including the parts they want other people to see :-( this is just sad hes doing this. Last thing I'm going to say, If someone treated any vendor out there like this they would probably have cut off communication long ago. It's not fair that he attacks me, my company, and my credibility when multiple policies were broke and I already offered him replacements. This is kind of insane to me. My wife and I are expecting a child any day now and I can't get a break from this guy blowing up my phone and harassing me.
 
I do not harassing or i don't send you any text to blowing up your phone at all. My phone never have your numbers. Please be nice and be real that you just dont want to solve the problem and i am not even know which corals you shipped to me they all dead and melt in the bag before i can see their colors. There is no reason for me to attack you i spend over $1518.00 to buy corals and do not want to buy any trouble or problem. I am not to expecting this happening this much loss for the whole package $1518.00 is not a small amount to loss. For replacement i'm not sure what it going to be ship look like for make it fair.
 
Outsider here. I think a replacement should be sent and if the buyer doesn’t want a replacement then that’s his problem. If it arrived dead and you are offering replacement seems like it is fixed. Some things to add..


Forum rules were broken by asking for payment types not accepted.

I wouldn’t ship right now being a seller. We both live in Minnesota and shipping right now especially around holidays is a no no. Too cold and delays due to holidays.
 
I've been a fan of aquatic bobs on you tube for a while but after seeing this nightmare i don't know. I read everything and it looks to be on you Bob. If it were me i'd replace everything or full refund. 1500.00 is alot of money for dead coral that could have been avoided. Bob you could have refused to ship until the time was right, i get the guy was antsy but spending 1500.00 i would have been antsy too. Your the business owner Bob you could have handled this alot better. this is very bad press for you. 1500 is a mortgage payment. just my 2 cents and my opinion. If i was the customer I would have been absolutely blowing up your phone too. Having a baby and family has nothing to do with business. if your going to have a website and sell high end stuff these things happen. refund the man and move on. you will get business tri fold if you do the right thing.
 
I offered replacement corals again to the buyer recently and he refuses to acknowledge my efforts to help him out even though it falls outside of my shipping obligations. The package was delayed and then he wasn't home to receive it the next day. I felt bad about it and offered replacements desite taking a huge hit but I also understand the feeling on his end. The buyer has proceeded to file a complaint through PayPal now as well and tries to get the money back. To me this is just so far out of bounds and no one ever does this especially when the seller has gone out of their way to make it right I don't know why reef2reef is allowing this post to stay up when I've done everything I can to take care of him and all he has done is attack my business. At this point I'm ready to take the public damage, say whatever, and walk away. I forgive you.
