Neighbors to Torch Coral

I am realizing that my torch is growing rather quickly and that it's tentacles are reaching rather far. I still have time to move him around, but was wondering what corals I can place next to it so that it won't be bothered by the tentacles touching it (and vice versa). Are there any articles discussing good placement choices in relation to other corals or is it just trial and error?

Only other euphyllia and that is still not a guarantee. Torch can get along with other euphyllia then one day feel crowded and unleash on its cousins. Basically not too many corals can be kept with other corals without a warfare. Some are ok within its own family but not all.

When mine gets extra long, it depends on how it feels i adjust my powerheads. Mine sting zoanthinds. The ones in it path just stay closed most of the time.

Mechanisms of Coral Aggression and How to Control It

Good article - thanks for sharing. Luckily the torch is on a frag plug. It has about three mouths and has been sweeping about a 6-8" area around it. Not sure how fast it will grow or what it's max size will be, but I am thinking I probably need to move hime so I can place other corals in that area. Yesterday I saw one of it's tentacles in my Acan's mouth - both seemed to be unharmed by it. My tank is less then a year old, but want to plan for the future. I see these awesome pics of well stocked tanks and u basically do not see an inch of live rock and wondering how this is done and to make sure I put "friendlies" next to each other before they can't be moved.
