Hello.

I have a green BTA in residence in my 55 gal tank for 17 months. You can't help but recognize changes in behavior in any of the inhabitants. But when I have something for 17 months, I tend to notice the more subtle changes.

I know it is normal behavior for a Nem to shrivel up to expel water along with waste. But what I am seeing isn't a daily shrivel as in the past. I'm seeing this happen, 2 or 3 times during the light period. I can't tell you what is going on during the moon period.

What is the increased frequency of this behavior telling me?

Safe holiday to all!

I'll be following as I am new to nems, however I have my 3 BTA and all have very different personalities. The only thing I can say for certain is they constantly change but remain healthy. (I think)

For me it's a matter of remembering that they aren't corals and don't behave as predictably.
