So, I got a Green BTA a couple weeks ago and he went through quarantine just fine and today I finally added him into the tank and... Of course something had to go wrong and this happened. Now, I had a foamguard covering over the powerhead so i thought it'd be safe but I guess not. Thankfully he wasn't totally shredded but skimmer's going haywire and I wonder what I should do now. Idk how severe the damage is but I know they can come back from a beat down like this. But how else can I protect my mp40 from stuff like this in the future? I'll be trying a water change soon but this happened late at night so I'm really not sure what to do now.

Here it is a few minutes after I took it off the powerhead. Looks really beat up but not totally shredded at least. The mouth is closed too which may be a good sign? I don't know.

It will survive, one of my rbta was stuck all night long in the powerhead, and it came out stronger and brighter in color 2 months after healing.

Today I found it beneath a rock and it seems to be doing better at least. Still looks mangled but the tentacles are now trying to extend and it has some more color at least. I think it stands a good chance of making it but the problem is trying to prevent this from happening in the future. For now, I squeezed on two of the foamguards since one clearly wasn't enough but there has to be a better way at doing this right?
