Nem rock with bryopsis, need advice

My anemone which I've had for about 1 yr now is thriving and my two stubby ocellaris clowns are in heaven with it.

The problem is I have bryopsis all over the top of the rock that my nem is attached to and where he has not moved for 10 months.

I want to take the rock out briefly to rasp it and apply some hydrogen peroxide as this is the last rock in my tank with bryopsis.

So, can I pull this rock out with the nem attached and not do harm to it? Will brief air exposure kill the nem? Any thoughts or advice out there?

Check parameters. Hair Algae grows because of excess nutrients. Get them under control and it will just die off.

There may be a small amount of hair algae, but this is bryopsis with their little fanning leaves with a holdfast in my rock.

Nitrate and phos undetectable.

I had an outbreak of bryopsis from my poor understanding of it a few months ago and have been slowly battling back. This is one of the last rocks with any left on it.

Also I have a new CUC to introduce this weekend which has been quarantined for 30 days. 2 emerald crabs in CUC which supposedly may eat it...

You still may have organic PO4 because the tests usually do not test for that. In any case hair algae will go away with nutrients in check. Be patient. How do you get rid of your Nitrate and Phosphate? Water changes, reactors, refugium?

Emeralds sometimes do. I love watching them.

Skimmer, water changes, carbon and refugium with caulerpa. Also lightly stocked 75gallon (two clowns, kole tang and royal gramma).

Direct a power head at it. I have heard that can get them to move.

Pull the rock out of the water, turn it upside down so the nem is just touching the water. Massage the nems foot eventually it will dislodge due to gravity and foot irritation. Works surprisingly fast and does not harm the nem

If this is truly byropsis I would never put that rock back in the tank, throw it out and buy a new rock to replace it.

I am not 100%, but I think it is hair algae and not bryopsis.

Looks like bryopsis, if it is, nuke that rock. As far as the nem, i recently sold a very stubborn one that would not budge. For an hour i blasted it with water, put ice on its foot, hung it upside down... nada. The only thing i didnt try was breaking the rock up because i just ended up selling the rock with the nem. You could try this, but be very careful... But yes, free the nem, nuke that rock; another thing to remember is placing the nem back in the tank in an ideal spot to avoid it scurrying all over your tank.
