Lower-left; big pink-ish white scab looking thing.

For some reason, my nems (three of them) all seem to run away from my lights. I was under the impression that they liked a lot of light, so I originally placed them near the top of a shelf that's in the middle of my water column. This particular one retreated into the underside and back of the tank so that it was almost completely out of the light. That was about a week ago; and just now I found it drifting about in the sand with the above wound(?). I've placed it on a rock near where another has settled in hopes that it's a better location for it, but it's already retreating into the shadows again...

I'd get the PAR for the area with my Seneye, but their entire website seems to be down right now... :-\

Params:
1.025, 7.97pH, 7.2 dKH, 0 NH3/NO2/NO3, 20 NH4, 460 Ca, 1360 Mg, 0.02 Phosphate

Btas can take several weeks to heal keep eye on him.

Got the Seneye working again - PAR in the area is around 100-120. The rock they are on is located in the lower-middle of the tank - my upper rock shelf ("SPS Land") is around 320 PAR. Lights are Radion Pro's; the one on the "nem side" of the tank currently has a wide-angle lens on it, but I'm thinking of switching it back to the regular lens (would bring PAR up around 20-30, I think?).

Thanks @KJ - I'll keep an eye on him. Luckily, he's easy to spot in his new location. ;-)

Aside from when they fall off and drift about on the sand, is there any other way to get a nem off a rock? I've got a rock nem that worked itself into a seemingly unhappy place (nearly always closed up; hiding from the light when on), but all it's doing is going in circles. I'd like to move it onto a more shaded area closer to the other ones I have (that seem to be doing better). Or am I better off just letting it be to sort itself out?

Try ice method, get 2 or 3 ice cubes from your fridge and put it in a plastic bag , work with this ice bag around his food and he should then release it. I read about this on another forum long time ago and it sounded very successful getting the food lose, I hope this helps KJ!
