this is a 2-4-1 post
1) how do I stop my Nem from going behind my rocks cape.

2) could my clowns be trying to host to my scraper? They spend most of their time here.

1. You can't keep your nem where you want it. It has a foot that moves it to where it feels most safe.
2. They just find it safe to be by. What I did was put a big strainer on the top of the tank to let water in. I put the clowns and nem in for about a day and they hosted it very well. But you have to watch them often sometimes nems won't host the clowns.

the strainer idea sounds great...but mine is now safe and happily attached to a rock that I can't move without rearranging everything. My clown stays towards the top, doesn't even get close to it.... I don't want to stress or hurt the BTA by detaching him into a strainer, any ideas?

Maybe put in a bucket with a heater and a power head. Somewhere where you get some light next to the tank. Or section off the rock with the nem and put the clowns in that section

How old is your tank? You really should wait about a year to add a nem...

Anyway, nems go where they want. You can try adjusting the light and/or flow in the tank to get it to move. The nem may not host the clowns. I have tried a few times and the first two times the clowns totally ignored the nem. This last time they took to it almost right away and now bring food to it and keep the area clean. It is a cool thing to watch, but I just want to make you aware there is a good chance they might not even host.

Good luck!

Thanks guys. I'm going to remove the scrapper and have one last go at popping the nem around the front. I'll try it under my mushroom see how it goes.
