Adding the new lights and different flow can definitely cause the clam to move. I would leave it be.

Well it looks like he kinda fell down a hole. I just removed him and placed him back up. Maybe something hit him? If I put him on the sand bed do you think ill get poor results again with the Max clam?

Can you post a clear pic for an ID. You can always place the clam on a flat piece of rock on the sand bed. Once it attaches it will be easier to move around. Constant intervention is not really good for a clam.

Got my 20lbs of poly! Gonna try this vs using shock...

Little worried about the small fuzzes from the poly. I can see them filling the tank and getting stuck inside pumps... idk

Did some green algae hair removal with my handy dandy prongs.

I got the most out I could. Now I hope the snails start eating it. I also started dosing Vibrant to clean up the hair!

Saved by the timer cut off!!

I switched from using filter shocks in my sump to filter floss. Well I been little busy this week so I missed changing the floss. Normally with a shock it still works. The filter floss just back it up big time causing my ATO to run and run. Thankfully the Tunze has a 10min auto shut off that I moved to like 5min.

So when I got home the tank was making bubbles and a weird sound. So I knew something was up!

I first thought my ato pump stopped working bc I turned it back on and it was loud and it just ran and ran so I was just adding more water to the tank lol.

Then I see the filter floss side almost over flowing. Stopped all pumps changed the floors and back up running.

Salt went from 1.026 to 1.025. Could of been so much worse than that....

Whoooo I feel like I skipped a disaster!

It’s been ok. The price point at $250 is better .

They have stayed on. Snails still get stuck here and there. I just hope they last long.

Heres some tank updates!

Huge growth the past few months. I had an issue of my salinity at 1.029-1.030 due to defective calibration solution made by Brightwells.

Once I solved that issue my tank is thriving!

Fun fact: my clown fish love my clams lol

Do a ICP water test, that’s how I figured out my salinity was wrong.
