Neon Blasto

T5s can def. have a higher output than halides, there are a lot of other factors. Is it up high near the light? what bulbs are you using, how old, which reflectors... regardless I usually put mine on the sandbed partially shaded.

i am runnign a Glo T5HO 2 bulb fixture with a Glo Powerglo and a Marine Glo bulb.
right now its about 16" from the light. the bulbs are about 5-6 months old

here is a picture of this awesome guy

looks bleached to me... it might survive the intense light you have it exposed to but chances are it won't? it is up to you..... are you wanting it to survive or are you wanting to try and get a morph?

I agree. The blasto I got from a friend did not at all like being under direct light. It is now partially shaded by some live rock and doing much better.

BTW, that same transparent color happened to my palys when I switched from MH to T5 lights. It took some time for them to adjust back to their full color.

i'll try shading it, though the last time i had to shade something it died now sure exactly why though, im coming to find that T5s are way more powerful than i previously thought

I have mine on the bottom of my 75gal under an overhanging rock. It really gets no direct light. I run (2) 250w MH 14k's. It gets moderate flow down there also.
