Setting up a 125. It isn't even wet yet(still working on the sump and plumbing etc... I'm curious if a 125 is big enough for a neon dottyback and a blackcap basslet to coexist without too much stress...........or death. Anyone have any experience with this or a similar combo?

Thanks

If they go in the tank at the same time I don’t think you will have any issues. You probably won’t see the basslet much, it will defend one small cave coming out to eat. Neon dottyback is beautiful active fish very inquisitive, but it will limit you as far as future fish added.

Add the Dottyback as one of your last fish. Coming from personal experience they are higher on the semi aggressive list.

Akin to a Cinamon, Maroon or Tomato Clown.

Yeah the stocklist is still a lot up in the air but dottybacks would tend to be near the end. Order I'm considering at the moment is something like this;
Shrimp goby
blennie
Jawfish
Butterflyfish
Hawkfish
Clownfish(was leaning towards goldstripe maroons but I'm not sure I want to deal with that much agression)
Dwarf Angelfish
dottybacks
Large angelfish
tangs

All subject to change of course :)
