Neon Goby disappeared?

Got him about a month ago, some lady had brought him back to the lfs from a 2+ year old reef tank. I haven’t been able to monitor my tank often due to a lot of school work, but I just noticed that he hasn’t been coming out for feedings and he’s nowhere to be seen in the tank. None of my fish could have eaten him, so I really don’t know if he’s just hiding or if he’s dead... Is the lifespan of a neon goby 2-3 years? if so that’s probably why he passed I assume. I had a peppermint shrimp pass recently from old age, had him for 2 1/2 years.

He could be hiding , they tend do hide for a long time

Their life span is between 2-3yrs.

Check the overflow. They often can fit between the overflow teeth.
