Anyone know if you can keep different types of Nepthea corals next to each other and touching? I have a neon green Nepthea today and I’m thinking about adding a pink Koji Wada Nepthea next to it. Wondering if the two could occupy the same space or if I’d have compatibility issues.

Like any corals placing them next to each other can lead to them going to war. In my experience soft corals can go either way. Since there are a number of species referred to as Nepthea it can be difficult to know how it will react to a stereonepthea. In my tank now I have several soft corals in one area but I do try to keep some distance between them for grow out. My one stereonepthea colonies has started to lean away from a nearby green sinularia which prompted some trimming of the sinularia. If you would like to add the Pink Koji Wada in the tank I would give it some space of a few inches if you can so it can settle in and have room to grow.

Thank you for the thoughts. Make sense and probably the smart plan. I’ll have to see if I can make some more space.
