Hi,
I am fairly new to this hobby. I just put some LPS in my 20 Gal tank which is 4 months old. all of them are Frags. Now I just got a Neon Green Encrusting Hydnophora Frag as in the picture. I did not knew anything about them until I got it. Now I am scared that it might kill my other corals. I would really appreciate if anyone can suggest how to put them in the tank so that they and other coral can live in peace. I do not want to get ride of it because it's beautiful.

Thanks

Isolating to it's own rock is really all you can do. Give it plenty of space to "stretch out" too. GL.

Mine would kill any coral down stream, flow wise. The mesenterial filaments can reach a good 2-3 inches at night. Just give the coral a wide berth, and check the coral at night occasionally to make sure it's far enough away from other corals.

What kind of lighting and Flow should be good for this Coral. and is it a LPS or SPS?

I don't know if there's a difference between the branching type and the encrusting variety but I have the green branching and blue branching hydno and they never have any sweepers. Never. I also had a pectinia that was winning against the hydno until I moved it. Just a few inches away to be safe and leave room for growth.

Pectinia is at last more aggressive then hydno both are lps
And both expands polyps when are hungry during late night
