Hey guys, I've been surfing this site for a few months and finally decided to join and start sharing photo's. I found this rock of palys and they were really drab brown, but as you can see they had a really nice green mouth. They have been under my t5 lighting for 7 weeks now and have colored up wonderfully. Can anyone ID these? I'm afraid they aren't finished morhping yet tho, a neon blue ring is starting to form around the neon green body which is really awesome. This particular colony currently has about 130+ polyps and i picked up a second rock with 250+ polyps about 2 weeks ago which is already morphing.

They look like one of the GPE morphs (Green People Eaters-not the "true GPE's", though). Nice colorup. Sometimes, they will keep going and develop white spots that can then turn pinkish. I haven't figured out what triggers the different morphs (and some only go so far), but they are nice in any form:). I bet 250 of them in one colony is impressive.

It's the distance from the lighting for sure. The ones about 14 inches under the t5's are developing the blue rim, the ones that are 20 inches under are just turning extra neon green with no blue rim. Thanks for the ID too. I figured they were some type of people eater because of the green mouth. I actually have about a dozen frags of various people eaters but i have no idea what they are. None of them look like anything on zoa id. I throw some pictures up of those once i get a tripod.
