Neoprene Mat Off-Gassing Dangerous?

I got this neoprene mat for my new frag tank build but am a bit concerned with the amount of off-gassing going on with it. The room it's in smells terribly and it's not getting any better after about 2 weeks now.

Is this safe to use and is there anyway to get rid of the smell?

LOL, had a similar experience. Ordered a sheet of it ostensibly for reactor gaskets - man it stinks!!!!! I decide not to use it and went with silicone sheet instead. Aroma free!

I got some vinyl tubing that 8s off gassing horribly. I was going to use it for my protein skimmer airline, but decided against that. Got it from Home Depot as well.

Alright I asked the company and they said these mats are more for industrial use and not recommended for indoor low ventilation uses.
