I like to watch the swaying movement of nephthea and colt corals in a reef tank but can these be place in a SPS tank, I was informed not to mix these with SPS due to toxicity the coral excretes. Is this true?

My nephthea doesn't bother my acros and they are less than 2 inches apart. It may be a different story if I were to poke or mess with the nephthea daily, but so far nothing makes me think it bothers my SPS corals.

Thanks for the feedback Nathaniel, that's great.
No problem! I will say that whenever I frag my nephthea I do run carbon just in case one of the frags or the coral as a whole gets upset and releases something, but I've never had an issue and I literally cut the coral with a knife and/or scissors.

Makes me feel much better, the cut is actually inside the tank? and no ill effect on the nearby acros?

Nope. None that I can tell.
