Neptune AFS Auto Fish Feeder

Dear Hobbyist, PLEASE DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY Buying the Neptune APEX AFS. Neptune builds some quality products but the AFS is a complete piece of junk. I bought mine late Dec 2017 and two date it failed after a few days the first time around. Then after they fixed it from jamming up by using some silicone glue, it failed again. I know that this is what they did as they told me the first time how to take it apart to check on the motor and plastic gears inside. The electronics to allow it to communicate seems like a good circuit, but what its controlling inside is a very weak and very cheap motor with plastic gears mounted in a snap plastic housing. Anyway I need to vent as I just sent it in again which cost me $16 bucks for ground shipment. They told me they can't just replace it as they need parts from this broken one as they currently have no parts. If Neptune doesn't make this right by me, I'm done, I will never buy a Neptune products again. You know were all told to spend a lot of money on quality and don't waist our money on cheap equipment, and buying Neptune you would think it would be quality, but don't be fooled.

Hmm. I have two and both work fine. As for their customer service, very few companies go out of their way to help you. Good luck!

I have one running ~3 years strong now with not one issue. Sounds like you might have a fluke.

I’m currently having the same issue. I bought mine January 24 2018, and it’s already broken! the drum won’t retract. Build materials/quality certainly are not in line with the premium cost. I really like the rest of my apex system, but the AFS is JUNK!! Please let me know if you found a fix.

Mine works. I’ve had it about a year. It’s loud and kind of obnoxious to refill. I probably wouldn’t recommend it to anyone but I do like being able to control it from my phone.
