Components:
Apex controller. Firmware up to date.
Energy bars (EB8) x 3
Dose pumps x 2
Trident
WMX module
Leak Detection (LDK)

Came home last night to see that ALL of the modules are flashing orange.
The power bars are still providing power but not responding to commands.
Trident no longer testing.
Dosing pumps not operating (one of the two of them still responds when I push the on button on the unit, then other one doesn't)
WXM - ALL 8 VorTech MP40s off. Not responding.

For flow I just have my return pump. Aeration from protein skimmer that is plugged in to one of the power bars is still working.

I've sent a help ticket to Neptune.

Any suggestions?

I'm guessing the Apex has locked up, so everything is in Fallback mode.

1. Have you tried rebooting the Apex?
2. Are you able to access the local Apex console at http://apex.local?

Try unplugging all components. Reset brain and plug all back together.

No I don't seem to be able to access the Apex locally. I still have access through fusion.

Do I need to do anything to reset other than unplug?
I tried to unplug everything and plug back in. Everything comes back on as solid orange then starts flashing orange after a minute.

Did you press the reset button ?
Also try resetting your internet connection/modem

You reboot the Apex by disconnecting any AquaBus cables from it, and if you have the optional 12v auxiliary power adapter, disconnect it as well. After the lights on the Apex are off, plug everything back in.

I would disconnect all modules except for one EB. See how it responds. If that works, then one by one connect the next EB and see how it works. Slowly reconnect each module. Perhaps it's a single component causing the problem and this would allow you to identify the offending item.

Thank you all!

I disconnected the AquaBus cables from the apex unit and unchained all the components. This turned off the base unit. I then inspected all the cables and noticed the extension connection to one of the energy bars had rusted (see pic). Leaving that one disconnected I reconnected all the other devices and everything began working normally. I then unplugged the power bar and re-connected it with a spare aquabus cable and it appears to be working normally again. Thank you everyone for solving this problem for me!

That is why I have a separate cabinet to house my Apex gear. I've had it near or under tanks previously and saw signs of condensation. Glad you caught it and resolved issue.

So glad you found the issue! Good job troubleshooting.
