Hey guys I’m currently running a Red Sea 170 with the manual ATO I know the reservoir is small but it’s not a big deal for me to fill it up every 2-3 days it gives me a little piece of mind Incase it ever gets stuck open, it’s not a large volume of water. My question is i want to get the DOS to do AWC, will this work with my manual ATO? Does it remove water and add water at the same time? Will the water level stay at the same level or will this cause my ATO to over fill the sump? I Run Oct skimmer, gfo/ carbon reactor and refugium in my sump.

It will do it at the same time. Ideally you would pull the water from the first chamber of the sump and add the new water into the skimmer chamber.
