Hello, I just got my Neptune Apex setup on my new tank. When I first plugged it in only 6 of the 8 outlet lights are lit up on the lower left of the power strip, then when I woke up only 4 of them are now lit up? Thankfully there are no fish in my tank yet because the outlet I had my heater plugged into was no longer powered, my whole tank could have crashed. Can anyone help me here?

If no components are scheduled to be on, they will not illuminate.
A quick test to assure none are not working, go onto your fusion page and manually slide each outlet from auto to on and all lights should be on

That did work, but my heater should've kicked on. My tank was down to 69 degrees.

Assure heater is plugged in and thermostat set higher than 69
If so, may be bad heater

Out of the box

Weird. I run a few apex classics, so Im not as hip on eb832's and its default programming out of the box. Someone will come along with the new equipment and be able to help you better.

As said above, heater could be kaput. You try to plug the heater directly into a outlet to see if you get power? It easily eliminates the heater and then focuses on the apex outlet programming.

Did you program the apex? Out of the box neptune puts in example code that may not match what you have plugged into it.

I would suggest that you use the associated task function for each type of device to start and then read the programming guide for that type of device from SuncrestReef (sticky in aquarium controller forum).

Until you get each device programmed, set the outlet to the ON position until you have it programmed the way you want it. Then switch it to AUTO.

Side note, always post controller related posts in the Aquarium Controller Forum. The Neptune Apex experts, like myself, watch that forum for new posts. The general equipment forum can often get your post missed my the most knowledgeable.

Op is fairly new, prolly don't even know that sub forum exist, lol. At least they didn't use the emergency tag.
