Hello Everyone!

I am new to the Neptune System and purchased two energy bars to use for my apex setup. I am not sure if the cords will be long enough to mount inside my stand ( I haven't received my tank and stand yet, will be here this weekend). Is there a certain type of extension to use for the EB8?

Should I replace my normal outlet with GFCI? How can I tell if the circuit has GFCI on the breaker? I think my kitchen and bathrooms have one GFCI for each bathroom..

Also what size screws should I use to mount the apex products? Do I need to use spacers?

Thank you so much!!

You should definitely have your tank on a GFCI. You can buy a cheap tester at which would let you pop the breaker. Here's a link for one:

You just plug it in and press the button. It causes a short and if you are on a GFCI, the breaker will trip. If not, the power will stay on. Just tap the button, don't hold it down. If you aren't on a GFCI protected outlet, you can swap it out yourself if you are handy. They're about $15 and take maybe 10 minutes to install. Or alternatively, you could buy a plug-in GFCI and plug your tank into that.
