Any news as to the latest Neptune Apex AOS update? I’ve seen a lot of negative posts about the latest update. Thanks!

What happens if you dont update the MXM first? Asking because I dont remember if I did, I did do the APEX update and my MXM is not working anymore.

Ouch. Sorry about that. Sorry, I’m not going to be any help. I don’t have an MXM module. And I’m still not confident to install the latest update until I hear that it is safe to do so.

Bump! Any more updates on the most recent Apex update? I’m still not installing it until I know it is safe to do so.

So….. are we just supposed to trust the latest?

What does that mean? If you have doubts then don't. I've personally updated a few times now and typically do them on Tuesday mornings before lights on. I have a pair of SKY's and the updates typically take them offline. This way I don't get that.

Yes I have doubts which is why I’m asking what people are doing.

Are you familiar with all the problems with the recent firmware?

Be more specific as to what all means. I've updated a few times now and have not seen any ill effects. However this is a hobby whereas two people can use the same thing or update to the same version and have two different experiences. Thus me saying if you have a doubt then don't.

To your point I don't have a list, nor do I want to build one, as to what "all" the problems mentioned on the internet are. That sounds tiring.

What?

Thats what apex should be doing. They nuked a bunch of tanks including a bunch of people on here and Andrew sanders and they owe it to their customers to explain what went wrong what they did to fix it and why it’s not going to happen again and why we should trust now.

Pretty basic.

We reefers should expect as much

If you have doubts then don't update. I replied that I have and not seen anything. I'm using a DOS and not the new one. Don't base your decision on my experience though.

You mean Polo Reef? Post here says their issue was due to salt creep.

The most recent involves you calling Apex technical support - which will probably gladly answer and fix any of your problems?

Most updates have specific reasons to update - i.e. a new module, etc - If your tank doesn't have one of those issues - I would never update. Speaking from experience - there can be problems - in my case - a disaster - this is not current - but years ago.

Are you serious? You think that’s the right way to restore confidence?!

If you have no expertise then why are you replying? I’m asking who had what experience.

Good callout on polo reef I hand not seen that update!

Kind of lame that salt creep effects a reef doser…. But hey.

My Apex wifi connection keeps failing after the last update. So far after this update no issues. Hopefully it stays that way. Also hoping they fix all the Trident NP issues so I can finally hook it up.

I'm not sure I understand the question. I've updated my AOS a few times now to include the DOS. If you are specifically asking about the new DOSQD no. However the thread title is latest update. In my experience I have not had any issues while updating and shared that.

One of those things that can happen when reading about something that happened. We don't always get the root cause or finding or closure. It could be that it was shared on their platform or other media.

No idea. Depends on the amount, location, etc.
