Question?

Bought the ORP probe for Neptune Apex and according to the instructions it does not need calibration. The value is about 220 from which everything I read was low. It does not appear that I am having an issue or am I? I moved the probe all over and it was consistant 220 +-5. I am running the Reef Oct. SRO 5000 so id assume it is not an oxygen issue for my 400g water volume.

If I go on reeftronics the values seem to be between 300 and 400 from realtime statistics.

What do you think about the values?

Mine stays at around 330. AFAIK, you should be more concerned with a large swing in your ORP reading rather than an actual measurement.

I have one in a freshwater aquarium, can I move it to my reef tank?

My ORP probe stayed really low for a few weeks. Around the 200 mark as well. Now that the tank has been running awhile, the corals and fish are being fed, dosing is stable, and the probe has had a chance to break in so to speak my numbers have climbed to 330-350.

It stays fairly stable and the only time you see it drop is immediately after a large fish and coral feeding. Normal for me is around 345. It will drop by about 10 points from doing some mysis and pellet foods and slowly climb back up. At night I'll do a coral feeding and it will drop 15-20 points. By morning the numbers will have climbed back up again. I find this probe to be unecessary but it came with the 2016 Apex so I use it. Its interesting to see the graph and I notice I forgot to feed my corals on the night of July 5th.

Mine runs between 345-375, but like eschulist said, it gradually moved into the 300s over a couple of week timeframe, after installation.
