Hi y'all,

I have a Neptune Apex managing all my equipment on a 210-gallon DT and a 75-gallon sump. Everything is programmed and tuned to my liking for when I'm home. However, I need to make some changes for when I'm away. I travel a lot, so I'd like to create two alternative profiles for the equipment--one for when I'm home and the other for when I'm away. The main purpose for the distinction is feeding. I do manual feedings when I'm home. But I need to rely on the Neptune AutoFeeder for regularly scheduled feedings when I'm away. I'd also like to turn off all my equipment during those feedings. I haven't been able to figure out how to maintain these separate profiles (home and away) in the Fusion software. I'd hate to have to manually reprogram all of my settings every time I leave and then again every time I return. It seems like this issue should have already been addressed by Neptune.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Jon

I’m not a expert but way not create two “systems” make a new name and copy all the parameters over to the other name. Make the changes you need
I have no idea if it would work but throw the idea around and see. I don’t see why not

Just add Feed timer programming (ie. -If FeedA 005 Then OFF) to the items you want to turn off for the automated feeding. You can trigger the Feed Mode from Fusion while you are away or I think you could use a virtual outlet to trigger a feed mode to feed a certain time each day, and then just turn that outlet off when you are home. .

Thanks. I already have the feed mode timer in the programming for the various devices, so I can initiate feeding remotely. However, I'd rather put everything on a schedule while I'm away so that I don't have to initiate the feed mode remotely. I will be in remote locations without Internet, so initiating feed mode manually is not always possible.

I think that's what I'd like to do, but I'm not sure how to make another system.

Sounds Like a job for a Virtual outlet that you Switch off when you are home and to Auto when you are away.

I haven't had much use for the particular type of programming so I would suggest going over to the Neptune Community forums and doing a search for triggering feed modes via virtual outlet. Or who knows there is probably a simpler wy to do it than I am thinking.

There is a load and save programming for backing it up. But I figure that might be to cumbersome to use regularly

Good idea. I'll look into it. Thanks!
