Im interested but Im still learning about APEX. What else would I need to monitor pH and temp from my smartphone?

the brain has salinity and ORP probe sockets too. so you could use them in the future. you do not have to but they are good to see. i find salinity is a must so i can see when i need to replenish salt as i dont change water often. this unit has the most for you to expand to other functions such as lights and other modules.

In addition to the "brain" unit, you need the following items:

1. A power supply. At a minimum you could get the 12v Auxiliary power adapter for $16, but to be really useful you'd want an EnergyBar. These come in (4) 120v outlets for $120, (8) 120v outlets for$160, or the latest EB832 which includes (8) 120v outlets plus (3) 1Link ports and (2) 24v accessory ports for $250. All of these outlets are programmable so the Apex can turn on or off devices for you.
