Neptune Apex

Hi guys,

Selling a Neptune apex I acquired, I’m not very tech savvy and rather just sell it. I couldn’t get it to work and even after going back and forth with Neptune I still hadn’t the slightest clue on it. As seen in the pictures everything turns on and works but I can’t seem to program it. Comes with the controller, display, 2 EB 8 bars and a temperature probe. Looking to get $310 shipped, I’ll answer any questions to the best of my ability, thanks for looking.

Was it the toughness of the learning curve or is it actually defective? Lots of people complain that they are simply hard to program.

I had a bear of a time programming. If it weren't for assistance from a friend, I too may have given up. However, once set up is a supreme unit.

That's understandable. I see that the display is blank in the photo. Did you ever get it to display the parameters of the tank? Are the probes stored wet or dry?

The only probe I have is the temperature probe which doesn’t need to be stored wet. I never set this up with the tank because I couldn’t get past this initial programming. Neptune sent me all kinds of steps to reset and asked me to use a pc, I only have a Mac and for me it’s just not worth it

The screen stays blue all of the time and I don’t know any login info or anything, kinda frustrated and done with it.

Then i believe firmware update via wireless cause that.

It’s possible I read that could cause it. The screen does work. Just want to sell it at this point, someone should be able to figure it out, I’m zero tech savvy.

This should have been sold already. A lot of components for the money.
Press both resets on the EB8 units and wait for solid light, then try connecting the display to see if images show up on screen. Will help your sale once others see a working display

I don’t even see a reset button, I pressed the fuse but nothing happened. I think whoever takes it will be happy once they get it working. I think it’s priced well to sell with the current issue at hand.
