Neptune Aquacontroller JR.

That's along the lines I was thinking as well. Buy the best I can and not regret missing a piece of equipment later. I just have to settle on which one.
I use the temp probe. I don't use the ph and I nevere really check ph. I use a jbj for ato , I wish I had the vdm to run my jebaos but I ll add that later. I have my halides hooked to it so if temp in the tank gets above 83 it will turn the lights off. My display went out so I do everything from my phone now. I'd like another eb4 or 8 to run my pump and skimmer so I can control them if need be. The list is endless.

I don't have experience with the others, but the apex has a nice feature new this year called Fusion. It's a cloud-based app that's platform independent (means you can access it anywhere with any device that has a browser). It is quite stable and, being cloud-based, you don't have to update it. You are also relieved from the port-forwarding stuff.

You can't do everything with Fusion (yet), but it is a very well-designed app.

Thanks for all the tips! keep em coming! I'm now looking at the Archon and Apex. I think my husband is on board. I told him that we wouldn't buy the Galaxy s5 right after the s6 comes out would we? no point in spending the money on something outdated.

What's a switch port for? They mention these – 4 ports for switch inputs or triggers - what's that?
