I just got the new Apex with all the probes. I have been trying to get the Conductivity probe to give me readings based on the 53,000 value which on my old Apex always had readings in that range (+/- 53). On this new one, I cannot get readings in that range. Right now, for example, it's reading 28.6, and the specific gravity when I test is 1.024. Is there a setting for the probe I need to change?

Two things:

1. If the probes are new, they need to soak in the tank for a few days before calibrating.

2. Microbubbles are the most common cause of incorrect salinity readings. If you can invert the probe under water and tap it, the bubbles should float up out of the probe. Be sure to place your probe in an area with the fewest bubbles, for example the return chamber.
